MiamiPhotoFest and Magnum Photos bring you the opportunity to participate in this Master Street Photography Workshop with Bruce Gilden.

Join Bruce Gilden for a five-day workshop to broaden your perspectives, identifying your working style and overall defining of your personal vision.

Over this 5-day workshop Gilden will lead participants through intensive sessions of reviews, group critiques, shooting and editing. Participants will have daily opportunities to shoot on their own throughout the workshop. Gilden will take students out of their comfort zone, with the aim of identifying each participant’s personal working style for street photography, and define their personal vision.

Open to both passionate amateurs and professionals, this is an unprecedented opportunity to learn from the master himself.

Participants will work with Gilden to create a final edit to be projected on the evening of the last day of the event.

Defined by his energetic style of photography and his close approach to his subjects, Bruce Gilden’s powerful work in black & white and now in color have brought the Magnum photographer worldwide fame.  Master of street photography, Gilden has been working for five decades on the streets of the major capitals in the world.. Bruce Gilden has published nineteen monographs and his work widely exhibited around the world  is part of numerous permanent collections such as the Getty Museum, MOMA, New York, Victoria & Albert Museum, London and the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography. He has received nine grants and in 2013 he became a recipient of a Guggenheim Foundation fellowship.

Bruce Gilden joined Magnum Photos in 1998.
